Condolence: Sooz and family - I am so sorry for your loss. I had a great time in band with your dad. He was a great teacher. One fond memory was when he was making the band play a couple of measures over and over until we got it to his liking. He said we needed to play it with "feeling". I looked over at a friend and acted like I was crying and we both laughed not knowing your dad was looking right at us. He told us we had detention. Neither one of us had ever been in trouble and we both were scared to death. It was spring time and we both went to the band room for our detention. Your dad sat us down and told us that we were leaders and needed to act accordingly especially in band class. We said, "yes sir". Then he pulled out all the squirt guns he had confiscated from other students and the three of us had a squirt gun fight in the band room!! It was a blast and he taught me a lesson right then - there's a time and place for everything!! May God bless you during this time of loss! Much love and prayers to you.
