 Professional Services

Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff - $1475.00
Our basic service charge includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; preparation and filing of necessary certificates and permits; placement of obituary notices, planning of funeral arrangements; and coordination of services with cemetery, crematory, vault companies, transportation and other as required. Also included in this charge are the overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses. The fee for our basic service and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremation and immediate burial and forwarding and receiving remains.)
Embalming - $650.00
Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or direct burial. Embalming is a chemical process which provides temporary preservation of the body and must be performed by an embalmer licensed in the State of Washington. Washington State Law requires that upon receipt of a body, the funeral home must immediately embalm or refrigerate until the final disposition. WAC 246.500.030
