Evelyn Carskadden, What a lady! This sweet little white-haired grandma with the twinkle in her eye. I first met Evelyn in 1973 when I went to work in Supply Department at NAS Whidbey. Evelyn sat at a desk across the aisle from me. We both attended Oak Harbor Lutheran Church So, I had the joy of knowing her for many years after she retired. She liked the lumpia my husband made for her, so she nicknamed him "Mr. Lumpia." She brought so much joy to all of us she will remain in our hearts for ever. But, we are all better for knowing her. She most certainly had a one hundredth birthday celebration when she reached her heavenly home.
