Condolence From: Maura L. Muzzall
Condolence: Evelyn was such a warm and caring person. During the many years that she and my parents were friends, she was constantly giving encouragement and friendship to them. She always had a kind word to say and recognized me, even if it had been months since we had seen each other..During my mother's last weeks, Evelyn was there almost daily to see her and let her know she was never alone. Evelyn will be greatly missed by all of us that knew here. May her "star" shine in our hearts until we meet again, in the next life..

Condolence From: Janann (Young) Roodzant
Condolence: I feel joy that Evelyn is home with her Lord and sad that she has left us. Her sweet smile and sincere care over all of us will be missed. I surely would have attended her memorial services but somehow missed the notices. Prayers go to all of you and hugs from an old school buddy and music pal of Ralphs. I can just imagine the joy she is having in heaven, yet I send sincere sympathy to you in your loss. Janann Roodzant

Condolence From: Barbara Wilson
Condolence: Evelyn Carskadden, What a lady! This sweet little white-haired grandma with the twinkle in her eye. I first met Evelyn in 1973 when I went to work in Supply Department at NAS Whidbey. Evelyn sat at a desk across the aisle from me. We both attended Oak Harbor Lutheran Church So, I had the joy of knowing her for many years after she retired. She liked the lumpia my husband made for her, so she nicknamed him "Mr. Lumpia." She brought so much joy to all of us she will remain in our hearts for ever. But, we are all better for knowing her. She most certainly had a one hundredth birthday celebration when she reached her heavenly home.

Condolence From: Dennis and Sally Maylor
Condolence: Evelyn - oh what a gal! We always enjoyed our visits with Evelyn and to hear about her life. We were sad when Evelyn left Oak Harbor but were happy to know she would be closer to her son. Our hopes were for a 100th birthday party as she was planning one at age 99! Many fond memories flood our minds....Dennis as a young lad on Pioneer Way especially remembers Evelyn. We both will never forget her as every time we prepare her famous crab quiche, we think of Evelyn.
With love and heartfelt sympathy,
Dennis and Sally Maylor

Condolence From: Gertrtud Mueller Nelson
Condolence: To Evelyn Gertrude from that other Gertrud. Anyone who can raise a son like Ralph, has to have had a bevy of angels surrounding her. Always a smile. Always something dear to say and to share. I didn't know you for a lot of years, but got to know you in the ripe years where age is all dignity and wisdom even as the body fails. Now, angels have led you into paradise where you will watch us all. Peace be with you now and forever, dear Evelyn.
