When I first came to the College of New Rochelle, School of New Resources, Yvonne was the youngest by far of all the staff and faculty. She was part of the founding group of academics at SNR who had already created an exciting community of learners that was to become vastly larger than the original College of which it was a part. I was happy to become a member of that community and spent eight years working with Yvonne and our other colleagues making higher education possible for thousands of students who might otherwise have been denied that opportunity. She was a bright light who helped the rest of us stay positive and even joyful. I have over the last 35 years thought of Yvonne often as I look at our antique print of a Bohemian Waxwing, that she picked out a gift for me when I was first leaving New Resources. I will think of her often in the future. She was a delightful person and a fine colleague. tom rocco
