Yvonne and I were lucky enough to end up at Hazelwild Farm Camp in Fredericksburg, VA. We became good friends, horse women, and worked to earn our “Advanced Horsemanship” medal together. I always called her “the great communicator” as she always kept in touch with her friends. We would sneak into the horse field and climb on the horses bareback with just a halter – not something we should be doing. She jumped anything that was put in front of her and make it look easy.
