Yvonne was the best boss I ever had. College fundraising is also hair-raising and unpredictable. Yvonne and I never met face to face; she was on one coast, I on the other. But she was always accessible, funny, supportive and kind. We had many phone conversations over the years I worked with her and Sister Dorothy Ann for CNR - my only regret is that we didn't write a book together about those days. I once orchestrated an alumni fund-raiser where only eight people showed up and five of us were either in charge or related, including Dorothy Ann's intrepid brother. Yvonne and I laughed until we cried over that one, I have happy memories of our years as colleagues because Yvonne always made me feel a part of her team. I'm so glad she had the years of sailing with Franklin and that she got to live on Whidbey Island. I will remember her in my prayers.
