It doesn't seem real

Mom, Somedays I just can't believe you're gone from this earth. I go to pick up the phone to call you and have to stop, remind myself you are not here. It is a weird feeling. But, in my heart you are there. In my memories, you are there. I miss your silliness, your smiles and fun loving attitude. I was blessed to have had a Mom that had a sense of humor and included me with some of the funnest adventures of my life! I tell people what it was like growing up in a house where a whole room was dedicated for birds and animals that were recovering from broken wings, BB gun wounds, hit by a car. This list could go on. We volunteered together on animal rescue adventures, SPCA, the local zoo that you helped to shut down because the cages were too small for the animals. But, until then we enjoyed playing with Sambo the chimpanzee, watching Rodney handle the rattle snakes and Terri feeding Bucky the badger. You bought a membership at the local motel so we could swim each and every summer before we were old enough to be let alone at the Alamo swimming pool. I remember the Edsel station wagon we would take to the Big Chief drive-in to watch movies. Steak fingers at the Tastee Freeze when Dad was gone to the ranch. The late night classic movies where you would tell me the Bio of each movie star. You loved to read. You were amazing at crewel and embroidery and decoupage. You had a style that stood out. I love you Mom. I miss our dates to DQ and to eat mexican food. I will see you again. I am happy to know that you are with Jesus. We will have eternal life together. God's grace was evident in your life and I learned so much about God's love watching you. Thanks Mom for giving me the last two years of your life. It was a priviledge to care for you and I love you! your daughter, Cindy
