Bob Turner

Dot was the best mother-in-law I could have hoped for. She was always kind to me and of course, always worrying (not only about me but for everyone). A thing I will never forget is how she couldn’t stand when someone was in one part of their house and others were in another part of the house – she needed to know what was going on and probably wished she could be two people at one time. I admired her competitive soul – she did not like to lose and if you ever played croquet with her you would understand that. She, and KC, were very generous. In our time of transition from the Marine Corps to the civilian world they graciously let us stay with them while I looked for my first civilian job. Dot was also a very, very good grandmother. For 3 years we lived in Oak Harbor and she and KC attended most of their grandchildren’s activities during that time – memories they will always have. I have great memories of my 22 years of being part of Dot’s life and I will miss her!
