My memories

I can remember back at Whidbey Apartments meeting Rosemary and I remember her chasing after Anthony on his bus as he raced towards the street. We all just stood there because we knew the street was safe and that Anthony knew better than to race into it but there was Rosemary moving as fast as she could to make certain her grandson was ok. I don't even know how many years ago that was but all these years later I get it as I have raced down the sidewalk in Missoula after Lexie. I don't have tons of certain memories but the ones I have of Mom are of a sweet lady that loved her daughter and her grandsons so much. I remember her holding Andrew as a baby and the absolute unconditional look of love she had that day. As the years passed and I became a part of this family I now know that the unconditional love Sandy gives so freely was something she learned from her mom. No matter where we went (Silverwood, San Diego, LA, and Montana) Sandy would always have to find a special gift for her mom to take back to her. I used to love visiting with mom about her dancing shenanigans at Dixieland Jazz. I think her years on Whidbey Island were some of her best and Sandy was such a loving daughter. As we have been looking over pictures of Rosemary as a young woman the past two days I see so much of Sandy. I know Rosemary was so proud of Sandy and loved her very much. I also know that Rosemary has been looking down smiling with us as we have been remembering. I will miss you mom.
