I met Ray and Janet on one of Ray's extended stays in the CICU a Sacred Heart in Spokane. I had the honor and privilege to watch over Ray on a fair amount of night shifts as his critical care nurse. I got to know many of you (family) through his stories. No matter how crappy he felt, he always had that youthful twinkle in his eyes when he would tell his stories (I could tell he was a real character!) Ray was genuine and kind who repeatedly would tell me how grateful he was to have gotten another chance at life and love with Janet. When Janet and Ray were together, their bond was palpable. I am very thankful that Ray has deeply enriched my life, and I will miss him dearly. My thoughts are with all of you.
