To the Family, Aside from Kay's smile and laugh, when I think of her, I think of her amazing cooking talents and how she used them to minister to others. I was a grateful recipient of this gift of hers through the years! It encourages me to think of how she passed this on to so many young ladies of the church, both informally, and formally through the cooking classes she taught. One of the last memories I have of Kay along these lines is walking out of my office not too long ago to see Kay supervising Kali and Alyssa in one of their cake-baking endeavors. I got the feeling that it was kind of like a final test to see if they could officially receive the baton as the next generation of BBCOH cake-makers. I kidded with Kali and Alyssa after Kay's death that Kay must have had enough confidence in them to indeed pass the baton, and to therefore finish her race.
