Obituary for Margaret Mary Moreno (Rochon)

MARGARET MARY MORENO
Margaret Mary Moreno, nee Rochon, age 44, longtime Oak Harbor resident, died at her home on Monday, July 28, 2008, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Ms. Moreno was born in Seattle on February 16, 1964, to Hector Rochon and Geraldine (Brooks) Rochon. She was raised on Vashon Island, where she graduated from high school. Margaret had attended South Seattle Community College, studying the Culinary Arts. Margaret cherished the country life—baking, raising chickens, gardening and her Farmer’s Market participation.
Margaret was the beloved mother of James and Jonathan Moreno, both of Langley, and Michael, Sophia, Isabella and Dylan, all at home; her parents, Hector and Geraldine Rochon of Oak Harbor; eleven siblings, Sandra Rochon of Kenmore, Linda Stuart (Michael) of Seattle, David Rochon (Deborah) of Lake Stevens, Rene Rochon of Belfair, Marie Gaylord (Richard) of Quilcene, Desmond Rochon (Leah) of Blaine, Annette Rochon (David King) of Dana Point, CA, Frances Madden (Fred) of Livingston, MT, Elizabeth Levesque (Ray) of Bellingham, Victoria Wakefield (Rusty) of Kenmore and Andrew Rochon (Karen) of Kingston; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made in her name to Help House, 1091 SE Hathaway St., Oak Harbor, WA 98277, or to Home Health and Hospice of Whidbey General Hospital, 101 N. Main St., Coupeville, WA 98239. Arrangements are with the assistance of Whidbey Memorial Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc.
