Condolence From: Gary Wallin
Condolence: To the family of Lila Nelson.
Lila was a wonderful, kind lady. I visited with her at church, following each Mass, as we shared coffee and doughnuts. She loved to tease me and chastise me for not waving as she drove by the funeral home or saw me on the road. She shared my joy as I was baptised and confirmed into the church. She shared stories of her travel across the country to visit family and attend family events. She would also attend many of the Funeral Masses at St. Augustine's and would stay for the receptions. My first grandchild was born on the 29th of July and Lila presented her with a receiving blanket she had knitted. Just prior to Christmas, she stopped by our home and presented us with a dress she had created and a matching blanket. She was very strong in her faith. I know the death of her daughter was very difficult for her. I will always love her and keep her in my heart. May God watch over her soul.
