The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Turner can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Jim was my best friend growing up in the 1950's and early 1960's in Seattle, Washington. I lost contact with him in the 1960's when his parents moved from their Seattle address on 1st st. NW. My prayers and condolences go out to his family.

Condolence: I will miss Jim. He was a guy I really liked. I loved the dogs he brought to the office, he would do anything for you and he had a nice pull up jump shot. Most of all I remember Jim as just a really nice guy. Peace Jim.

Condolence: Jim was a consummate professional and true gentleman. I feel blessed to have worked with him off and on since 2001. I think everybody who worked with Jim views him as a great leader and mentor. Thank you Jim and blessings to your friends and loved ones in this time of grief.

Condolence: To June and the entire Turner family, my deepest condolences for your loss. I too had the pleasure of working with and playing hoops with Jim. Whether it was the Anvil verses ARCO games, city league or with the "old nooners" it was always a good time. He will indeed be greatly missed. What a great guy.

Condolence: I worked with Jim for over 20 years and during that time I never heard a cross word from him. He was fun to be around and respected by clients as well as coworkers. I was in Anchorage a couple of weeks ago and commented to the people I was with that it seemed weird to be there with out Turner. He liked Alaska and was always ready to go. Like everyone else I enjoyed being around Jim and will miss his laugh. What a pleasure to have known Jim. Condolences to June, Carley and Garrett.

Condolence: Dear June, and family, it was an honor to share a few moments of Jim's college experience. Jim's La Serna high school football coach made a remarkably strong recommendation for Jim; and he exceeded those expectations at Cal Poly. He was a keystone for the successful offensive line with his diligent preparation, concentration on fundamentals and superb effort on the game field. Jim believed in the concept of team as a leader for the offensive line with his daily performance both on and off of the athletic field. Jim focused and excelled in Cal Poly's stringent engineering major from which he launched his career. We, Jim's teammates and coaches are all grateful for the opportunity to have shared in Jim's life. June we will continue to keep you, yours and Jim in our daily prayers.
