My Aunt

My family lived near Aunt Hazel when we were children in Dickenson, ND. There were five children in our family and four in their's. At one time we all stayed in their house by the Dickenson pump house. Imagine the smount of cooking, cleaning, and bathing that my mom and Aunt Hazel had to do. We were devilish little brats, we played all day long outside and wore ourselves out but always had a hard time settling down at night what with all the teasing and laughing going on. We hear "Don't make me come in there!" a hundred times a night. I remember mostly what a good baker Aunt Hazel was, she always had cookies baking, I especially loved her gingerbread cookies! I was fortunate enough to spend some time with my Aunt while she lived in Coupeville and to bring my mom, Leta, up to see her. I will miss her alot. Lois
