JOSEPH ANTHONY “TONY” ANDREACCHIO
Joseph Anthony “Tony” Andreacchio, 54, of Oak Harbor, passed away on Tues., Nov. 27, 2012, after a lengthy battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease.)
Tony was born June 8, 1958, in Nuremburg, Germany, to Nicholas and Maria Andreacchio. As a member of a military family, Tony travelled all around the world and the United States. He graduated from Clover Park High School in Tacoma and from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Tony was an avid Husky fan. He married Jan Alger on July 21, 2002.
Tony is survived by his wife Jan Alger Andreacchio of Oak Harbor; his parents Nicholas Andreacchio, Col. US Army (Ret) and Maria of Tacoma; three children: Adam Andreacchio (Anna) of Spokane, Katherine Chinchar (Brian), deployed in the US Army and Christina Andreacchio of Spokane; sister Marta Andreacchio of Tacoma; three step-children: Tawnya Rasmussen of Coupeville, Aaron Wright of LaConner and Tami Sisto (Duane) of Oak Harbor; one grandson, Ryan Sisto; brother-in-law Jeffrey Gwilliam and two nieces, Sarah Gwilliam and Lynsey Gwilliam, all of Maryland. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Gwilliam, who died of ALS on August 14, 2012.
A Memorial Service will be Sat., Dec. 1, 2012, 1:00 PM at Whidbey Memorial Chapel, 746 NE Midway Blvd., Oak Harbor, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association Evergreen Chapter, 19115 68th Ave. S., #H-105, Kent, WA 98032.
