RONALD MARK NORMAN
Ronald M. Norman passed away on January 3, 2010 at American Lake NHCU, Tacoma. He was born in Riverside, CA to Paul and Birdie Norman on August 16, 1938. He served in the US Navy, retiring in 1977. He married Evalyn Jansma in 1969 while serving at NAS Whidbey Island.
Ron is survived by his wife, Evalyn (Jansma) Norman of Oak Harbor; his sons, Michael K. Norman of Redmond and Christopher E. Norman (Anita) of Clear Lake and daughter Sabrina H. McClimans of Oak Harbor; granddaughter Kaitlyn A. McCliman and grandson Matthew L. McClimans, both of Oak Harbor; step-granddaughter Ale Toussint of Clear Lake; sisters Eileen Wold (George) of Box Elder, S.D., Paula Wolff of Bellevue, Patricia Marks (Marion) of Grand Prairie, TX and brother Warren Norman (Kaye) of Las Vegas, NV, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Norman, mother Birdie Tingler and step-father Carey Tingler, and sister Junell Pell.
A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Church on the Rock, 1780 SE 4th Ave., Oak Harbor, with Rev. Clint Webb officiating. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Benevolent Fund at Church on the Rock.
