Obituary for Robin Jean Hayes (Boggs)

Robin Jean Hayes (Boggs)

ROBIN JEAN HAYES
Robin Jean Hayes, age 48, of Oak Harbor, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
Mrs. Hayes was born November 3, 1959, in Santa Monica, CA, to David and Donna Boggs. Life growing up and a married life in the Navy took her to all corners of the country, before finally making Oak Harbor home in 1991. Robin worked at the VFW Post#7392 for thirteen years, and in that time touched more people than she would ever know. She was also a home care giver for the past year, the perfect position for someone as compassionate and heart-felt as her. Robin was an animal-lover from the spider in the corner of the house to the deer she hand fed in the front yard, a true testament to the love she had in her heart. She was known as a caring, outgoing people-person and will be forever missed by her family and many friends.
Robin is survived by her husband Charlie, Three children Jason, Jennifer, and Katelyn Iron Moccasin; her mother and step-father, Donna and Ron Hunt; one brother, Ricky Boggs; A Grandmother Tina Steele; and also, her ex-husband and good friend, Leon Iron Moccasin. She was preceded in death by her father, David Boggs.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday Oct. 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Harbor Assembly of God Church, 319 SW 3rd Ave., Pastor Brent Sorlien officiating. A private family urn committal will take place at a later date. Those wishing may make memorials to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Puget Sound Affiliate, 1900 N. Northlake Way, Suite 135, Seattle, WA 98103; or to WAIF, PO Box 1108, Coupeville, WA 98239. Arrangements are with the assistance of Whidbey Memorial Funeral and Cremation Service, 746 NE Midway Blvd., Oak Harbor.
