Mike was one of my 5 precious younger brothers and I will always love and be proud of him. He was always an easy-going sweet little boy; one who would take the blame for what his other brothers did, so that they would not be punished. Mike was a good man, fun to be around, with a mischievous smile and a zest for life. The most important decision Mike ever made was when he decided to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. That changed Mike and his life's focus and impacted all of those around him. I am so grateful, knowing that Mike has eternal life and that he is resting now in God's presence with no worries and no pain. I am selfish in that I wish I could have at least one more long conversation with Mike as he discussed his deep faith....it was like going to the best sermon ever. The second most important decision Mike made was to marry Janie, my beloved sister-in-law. I feel sure that she made these last years of Mike's life the very best that they could be. Mike loved Janie so much; and she loved him. Janie was strength and comfort for Mike during all of these years of surgeries and hospitalizations. God knew what He was doing when He sent Janie as Mike's mate. I know that God will comfort Janie as she faces the remainder of her life here on earth without Mike. Rest in Peace, Mike. We all love you.
