I remember frequently babysitting for Al and Mary's three children, Mark, Cindy and Al in the mid sixties when I was in high school and college and they lived in the futuristic looking square house in Pleasant Hills, PA. They would go to parties on the weekends and Al would pick me up in his burgundy Corvette and take me home after they got home. They also had a station wagon that Mary would use when Al was at work when he worked for Westnghouse. At the time they had a dachshund and a black and white cat who would keep me company after the kids had gone to bed in their bedrooms in the upper loft of the house. I remember the house had dark blue plush carpet that i enjoyed walking barefoot on. I would watch Mannix and Chlly Billy on the color TV that Al had made from a Heath Kit. I remember when they put in a swimming pool where I tied teach Mary to swm but was not very successful since she was afraid of the water. It seemed like Al and Mary were always on a diet altough both of them were very thin. They always made me feel like a member of the family. I adored and admired them both. I hated to see them move to Potomac, MD. and was not able to keep in touch over the years. I hate hearng that Al, Mark and now Mary have passed away before I could reconnect with them but will forever think of them with fond memories of the days when they lived in Pleasant Hills, PA.
