MARTHA VARGAS EVERETT

Martha Vargas Everett, age 38, of Oak Harbor, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Martha was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 4, 1969, to Jose Guadalupe Vargas and Rosalvina Maria (Ayala) Vargas. She was raised in Covina, CA, where she graduated from Baldwin Park High School. On May 28, 1992, she married Albert A. Everett III, in Los Angeles. She moved to Oak Harbor in Feb. 1994, and was employed by the Oak Harbor School District as a para-educator, working with students with special needs, an area in which she was gifted. Martha is survived by her husband Albert A. Everett III of Oak Harbor; her three children, Justin, Ashley and Trinity Everett, all of Oak Harbor; her parents, Guadalupe and Rosalvina Vargas of Covina, CA; her sister, Irma Vargas of Pasadena, CA; three brothers, Jesse Vargas and wife Maribel of Ontario, CA and Hector and Javier Vargas, both of Covina, CA; also, nieces and nephews, Christian, Jessi, Julian, Joelle and Tristan Vargas. Friends and family wishing may visit Living Faith Christian Center, 551 NE Midway Blvd. , between the hours of 9 a. M. And 3 p. M. On Wednesday, April 2, 2008, for a time of reflection, meditation and prayer in memory of Martha. A Memorial Mass will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Irwindale, CA, on Sat. , April 5, 2008, at 10:00 a. M. Committal will take place in Glendora, CA. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite #250, Dallas, TX 75244.
