Joseph Robert "Bob"  Knutson
Joseph Robert (Bob) Knutson died Oct 5, 2016. He was born in Tacoma, WA Sept 25, 1934. He moved with his family to Cowiche, WA in March of 1943 where his father bought a farm. Bob attended Tieton Elementary and Junior High School. He graduated from Highland High School in 1954. Bob attended Northwest Bible College in Seattle, WA. In 1965 he moved to the Puget Sound area where he worked at a fish hatchery on the Nisqually River, at Seattle Goodwill, and at a Capitol Hill laundromat. He started working as a day-stall seller at the Pike Street Market in 1971. He continued there for thirty-eight years becoming the seller with the most seniority and the nickname “Number One Bob”. His years at the Market were his favorite times. The other sellers at the market became like family a great support group for him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Clara Knutson, his brother Gene, his sister in law Hazel (Dude) Knutson and his niece Kari Jo Knutson. He is survived by his sister in law Alberta Knutson, and brothers Don Knutson, Leonard (and Darlene) Knutson, Larry (and Jan) Knutson, and Glenn (and Beth) Knutson. He is also survived by fifteen nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held.
