John David Kirk, age 48 of Oak Harbor Washington died Saturday Nov 20 after a two-year struggle with brain cancer. John was born in Wenatchee, Washington with CHARGE syndrome. Despite being told that he would not make it past age two John graduated from OHHS in 1981. He worked for almost 20 years at NAS Whidbey.
Until his illness he could be found at the Oak Harbor McDonalds every morning discussing the Seahawks, Mariners, and local politics.

John is survived by his mother and stepfather, Laura and Loyd Linn, of Oak Harbor, WA, maternal grandmother Alma McGee Clontz, two brothers, one sister, and two nieces.

A memorial service will be held Sunday December 5, 2pm at the Oak Harbor Senior Center 51 SE Jerome St. Oak Harbor, sponsored by Christ the King Church. We invite all who knew John to join us to celebrate his life.
