Obituary for Jane Carolyn Marks (Jane Carolyn Dartt)

Jane Carolyn Marks (Jane Carolyn Dartt)
JANE CAROLYN MARKS (PINGER)

Passed away on May 10, 2009 at her home on Whidbey Island after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jane grew up in Seattle, daughter of Floyd and Lillian Dartt. She was employed at Meadowdale High School for many years and worked for Howard S Wright and Kenco Construction before retiring. Jane is survived by her beloved husband, Dale Marks of 22 years.
Jane was an active member of the South Whidbey Eagles Club and had many interests and hobbies. She thoroughly enjoyed life with family and many friends. Through the years her lovely home on the water was the hub of activity, love and laughter. She loved the gathering of people and developed many close friendships. She was a remarkably gracious woman and had a way of making everyone feel so special.
Jane was our treasure and will be deeply missed by her family. Children; Jan (Greer), Scott (Mary), Joan (Ed), Doyle (Marcia), Doug (Mariko), and David. Grandchildren; Joseph (Maria), Brian (Lindsey), Ben, Michael O, Jason, Jeremy, Joshua, Michael M and Kameko; Great-Grandaughter; Isabelle Kelly and her beloved Sister-In-law; Nonie Sharpe and the wonderful Sharpe family.
“Love never disappears for death is a nonevent. I have merely retired to the room next door. You and I are the same; what we were to each other, we still are. Speak to me as you always have; do not use a different tone. Do not be sad. Continue to laugh at what made us laugh; smile and think of me. Life means what it has always meant the link is not severed. Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight? I will wait for you; I am not here but just on the other side of this path. You see, all is well. â€"St. Augustine-
