Elizabeth Anne  Foor
ELIZABETH ANNE FOOR
Elizabeth Anne Foor, age 63, entered into rest on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Foor was born on May 27, 1946, in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, England, to Alfred and Hilda (Perry) Yeoman. She came to the United States with her family as an infant. The family settled on Long Island until 1954, and then to Columbus, Ohio, where they remained until 1956. After returning to England for four years, they settled in Everett. Elizabeth attended Everett schools, and was a 1964 graduate of Everett High School.
Elizabeth was married to Vaughn Lee Foor on August 26, 1967. They initially lived on Whidbey Island, as Vaughn was serving in the US Navy. They then moved to Pax River, Maryland, where they lived for nearly three years. They returned to Whidbey in December 1976.
Elizabeth was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, stamping and reading.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Vaughn; three children: Andre Durst (Michael) of Airway Heights, WA, Heather Newcomer (Robert) of Camano Island and Christopher Foor (Jenny Perry) of Mill Creek; six grandchildren: Dalena, Cole and Madeline Durst, Samuel and Daniel Newcomer and Katherine Foor; three brothers: Michael Yeoman (Marlene) of Burlington, David Yeoman (Laura) of Everett and Thomas Yeoman of Marysville; two sisters: Patricia Martin (John) of Machias and Jennifer Grouns (Michael) of Everett; also, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A Memorial Service will be at the Bible Baptist Church, 1701 Harns Road, Oak Harbor on Saturday, January 9, 2010, 11:00 a.m., Pastor Robert Sargent officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Oak Harbor Pregnancy Care Clinic, 670 SE Midway Blvd., Oak Harbor, WA 98277. Family and friends are encouraged to sign the online guest register at www.whidbeymemorial.com.
