DIANE E. COOK

Diane E. Cook, age 37, of Oak Harbor, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009, after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Diane was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 22, 1971, to Charlie and Nila (Jones) Parrott. She graduated from Jenks High School in Jenks, OK, in 1990. Diane attended Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1993. She was married to Joe D. Cook on April 1, 1995, at the Garnett Church of Christ in Tulsa OK. The couple lived in Tulsa and Minco, Oklahoma and Decatur, IL, before moving to Oak Harbor in 2004, where Joe is the preaching minister for the Oak Harbor Church of Christ. Diane was an active member of the church, and very involved as a parent in the Broadview Elementary School PTA. She loved to camp with family and friends.
Diane is survived by her husband, Joe, and two daughters, Samantha and Sydney, at home; by her mother Nila Parrott of Tulsa, OK; by two brothers, Steven Parrott (Martha) and David Parrott (Kelly), both of Tulsa; also, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Parrott in 2004.
A Memorial Service was held Friday, June 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Harbor Church of Christ. Mike Hornsby, friend of the family, officiated.
