Condolence: Dear Billings Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. I met Dave through the Oak Harbor rock club. We hunted for Ellensburg Blue agate together once. That field trip doesn't seem that long ago but I guess it was because my kids were small and liked chasing crawdads in the stream better than shoveling heavy dirt.
I never got those artichokes plants Dave gave me to grow either - but Dave would always asked about them if our paths crossed. Again, so sorry about Dave's passing, he was a nice man.

I was saddened to read about David’s passing. My life was forever changed in 2001 when our lives path crossed on Ebey’s landing. I still think of that day and was so grateful I was there when he had his heart attack and was able to give him a second chance on life.
I truly believe God puts us in places in our lives to help others and I am grateful I was there for David. I wasn’t really sure whether he was going to make it alive to the hospital but was so happy to speak with you and hear how he was doing in the day’s following. Thank you for those Christmas cards in the years following. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sons.

I was so sorry to read about David in the newspaper. Although I didn't know him well, we sometimes talked in the kitchen at WIGS meetings and he always kidded with me. He always had that twinkle in his eye.
