Obituary for Clairine Lambert (Clairine Clark)

Clairine Lambert (Clairine Clark)
Clairine Lambert went home to be with her Lord on Thursday April 16, 2009, at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville.
Clairine was born on November 17,1930, in Bayville, New Jersey, to Clarence and Janet Clark. During her early childhood she moved to Skylar, Nebraska, to live with her Grandfather Bruener until his death. At age 12 she took a train from Skylar, to California to live with her Uncle Glenn Bruener. Then during her last few years of high school she lived with her Cousin Betty's family. Upon graduation she went to work at Northrup Aircraft where she worked until marrying Marine Sergeant George Lambert on Christmas Day, Dec 25th 1952, in Minot, North Dakota.
She and George lived in Oceanside, California, for the duration of his tour of duty.
They started their family with the birth of their first son, "Rick", in December, 1957, in California. In 1960 they had "Lori", then in April 1965 they had "Jeff". They continued to live in Garden Grove, California until 1968. In September, 1968, the family moved from Garden Grove to Kirkland. In 1969 they moved to Sedro Woolley, where the family lived for 3 years, enjoying the fellowship at Bethel Assembly of God church. George continued to work in Oak Harbor at NAS Whidbey as a painting contractor. In 1972 the family moved to Oak Harbor and attended the Oak Harbor Church of the Nazarene in 1974. Clairine loved teaching Sunday School and helping kids learn to love God. She also was very involved with Women's Ministries at the church and with the Christian Womens Club in Oak Harbor. Her personal relationship with Jesus Christ was foremost in her life and she wanted all to know what she knew.
She was a great homemaker and cook. She would cook for George’s work crews on the jobs, for large family gatherings and took part in most church functions. Once her children were raised and grandchildren came, they started to fill her life with new energy and joy. She continued to live to be involved in all her families lives!

Clairine is survived by her husband George, by her three children, Rick Lambert of Kirkland, Lori Williamson and husband Gary of Oak Harbor and Jeff Lambert and wife MaryJo of Oak Harbor; daughter-in-law Susie and her husband Jim Coffin of Oak Harbor, nephew/like a son David Sherman and wife Mary of Oak Harbo; twelve grandchildren: Joshua, Crystal, Chris, April, Jeremy, Ellie, Hailey, Matt, Jeffrey, Kelsey, Kyndra and Aspen; nine great-grandchildren: Sy, Kailynn, Riley, Andrew, Rachel, Ashlee, Melany, Ivan and Aaron.
