BETTY GERTRUDE COOPER

Betty Gertrude Cooper, 72, forty-four year Oak Harbor resident, died quietly in an Atlanta, Georgia, hospital on August 2, 2009. Betty was born in Atlanta on October 16, 1936 to James and Mildred Brookshire. She was preceded by her husband of fifty years, Charles Cooper, in January 2005. She is survived by her son William and his wife Shannon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests flowering plants for a memorial garden at Betty’s home. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Leaf Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow at the Taylor Road Fire Station.
