Bebe's Gift To Me

Late in that fall of 2005, I was diagnosed with a very large pulmonary hematoma. All went smoothly at the hospital while I was treated and watched as the blood clot dissolved. I was fortunate as I experienced no set backs In my recovery but was told I would need to take the blood thinning drug, Warfarin, for many months. Of course, I interpreted this to mean I was in danger of forming another clot. The first time I returned to church after that incident was very uplifting but I was still feeling some apprehension. After services, we went to Heritage Hall. Bebe apparently saw me come into the room as she came to me immediate, pulled me aside and started to talk to me. I don't know how she knew I was feeling apprehension, but she clearly did! She told me not to worry, that I could handle whatever the future might bring. She then shared her story about the aneurysm she had suffered, of her loss of necessary body functions and how she worked and got back everything she lost. Her words were, "If I could do that, you could too. Just believe in yourself and keep your faith close by." Bebe gave me just the encouragement I needed at that point. Whenever I have had medical problems since then, I pray to God and remember Bebe.
