Anne L. Koska, 87, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 29, 2020. Preceded in death by her husband, Ted, Anne lived in Freeland for over 40 years. Anne was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by four children Sue Hansen, Ted Koska Jr., Nancy Clifton and Jon Koska, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Her family was always the single most important thing to her and she cherished her time with them.
Anne was an excellent cook and an accomplished baker. There was always a new cookie recipe to try and enjoy. Anne had an eye for design and worked as a professional florist and caterer. Throughout her life she was always active in her church and supported her kids through PTA and Scouting.

My best memory of Anne is the time she came out on the porch and informed me with hands on hips that "Nancy is eating dinner now" Now keep in mind that I was an adult with my own children but you don't mess with a force like that. I was all like okay Mrs.Koska, nobody had the ability to make me feel 10 yrs. old again like her. She was the ultimate fifties mom. She loved her family and was happiest when among them. She was a great cook, I loved her everything/eggshell cookies Nancy and I would raid her freezer for. She was a great lady and will be greatly missed.

Thank you Diana ♥️ Taylor and I made egg shell cookies for the memorial service.

Anne and I met because of Avon, but that did not define our friendship. Anne was a wise and strong woman, who generally cared about others and loved her family. I will miss her, but I am comforted knowing she is with Jesus. I’m sure she was welcomed with Him saying,”Well done my good and faithful servant!” I love you Anne ❤️

I love the photo you've selected because that sparkle in her eyes and beautiful smile along with her joyful laugh is what I'll always remember about Anne. I grew up in the church Anne was part of starting in Des Moines and spent decades going to school with Nancy. Anne, and those in the florist shop where she worked, did our wedding flowers. Anne and our mother, Bette, worked on several Mother - Daughter teas at church. The love and joy of serving her family, God and others and Anne's joyful laugh are the things I will always remember about Anne. She leaves a hole in many lives, but that hole will fill with treasured memories and thankfulness for the legacy she leaves. - Catherine Morris Brady & family
