WILLIAM “SAM” DAVIS
March 20, 1926 - March 30, 2015
Dear Sam,
You finally got to sailing at 89 years old after being ill for so long—you were always so happy at sea, whether sailing or fishing.
We will miss you dearly of course, but this next journey will be what you have been waiting for these last nine years living on Whidbey Island, WA.
Giffin Davis and Jahna Lukas, son and granddaughter, respectively, of Houston, TX, wished they could have been here to see you sail off to sea. Their hearts are with you because they loved you so very much as did your wife of 30 years, Susan Bonnar-Davis, who believed you were a “secret gift” that you had surprised her every day by sharing your love.
Family and friends that you shared every day with your kindness, your very generous heart and most of all, your sense of humor. You made us laugh, Sam.
