The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William McNae can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

OHANAPECOSH RANGER STATION

Back in the early 70's I worked 5 summers at Mt. Rainier, three of them in the Ohanapecosh Ranger District where I met Bill. Decades later I ran into Bill at the Coupeville Arts and Crafts festival. The reason I instantly recognized him in Coupeville, after an interval of many years, was due to his easy friendly smile. When I read that he is "much loved" I know that is not hyperbole. He was a genuinely kind and friendly person. His family and friends are fortunate to have had such a wonderful person grace their lives.
