Obituary for Tawnya Lee (Wright) Rasmussen

TAWNYA LEE (WRIGHT) RASMUSSEN
Tawnya Lee (Wright) Rasmussen, age 44, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Skagit Valley Hospital.
Tawnya was born in Yakima on February 25, 1970. She graduated from Davis High School, and was on the President’s List there. She attended business college in Yakima, graduating with a degree in business and was valedictorian of her class. Subsequently, she moved to Seattle, where she managed several large apartment complexes. She was the recipient of several awards, having been lead manager in her area.
Tawnya eventually moved to Whidbey Island, and attended Skagit Valley College, graduating with an Associate of Arts degree. She belonged to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with high honors. Her goal was to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology.
Tawnya also worked for her mother at the Children’s Academy in Oak Harbor. Her artistic talent flowed through her classes at the college and at the pre-school. She was a lover of children and animals. She touched many lives and left sunshine wherever she went. She will be greatly missed.
Tawnya is survived by her mother, Jan Alger-Andreacchio of Oak Harbor; her father and step-mother Richard and Maria Wright of Camarillo, CA; a brother, Aaron Wright of LaConner; a sister, Tami Sisto and her husband Duane Sisto of Oak Harbor; a nephew, Ryan Sisto of Oak Harbor; her grandparents, Col. Nicholas Andreacchio, USAR (Ret) and Maria of Lakewood, WA; s her uncles, Robert Young of Ventura, CA and Ronald, Randall and Raymond Wright; her aunts, Marta Andreacchio of Lakewood, WA and Alice Kinney; her step-father, Phil Alger of Gold Bar; and numerous cousins. She is also survived by her fiancee, Wesley Froman of Oak Harbor and his son Noah Froman of Georgia.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, October 25, 2014, 1:00 PM at Whidbey Memorial Chapel, 746 NE Midway Blvd. In lieu of flowers (due to a family member’s medical condition, the family is suggesting donations be made to WAIF, PO Box 1108, Coupeville, WA 98239.
