Obituary for Shirley Mae Stewart (Housholder)

Shirley Mae Stewart, 87, of Camano Island, went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus at 4:30am Wednesday August 14 2019 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, WA.

Shirley was born August 21 1931 in Bellingham WA. Parents John and Agnes Housholder. She was married to Jack Weis then to Howard Stewart who proceeded her in death in 1993.

Shirley was raised in Ketchikan Alaska. She married Jack then later Howard Stewart. Shirley and Howard moved to Anacortes WA. In the late 50’s. Between them they had 11 children. She was an accomplished artist painting the windows of local businesses at Christmas. She was also a master with a needle and thread, often making her children clothes. She loved cooking and baking. In addition to being a loving mother, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She will be dearly missed

Shirley is survived by her sister Carole Radasch, children Larry Weis, Michelle Stewart and John Stewart, her step children Jim Stewart, Jeff Stewart, Berte McComas and Cheryl Heck. Shirley had numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shirley joins her mother and father, brother Tommy, daughter's Kimmy and Melanie and sons Randy and Greg in heaven.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 12pm Friday August 23, 2019 at Whidbey Memorial, 746 NE Midway Blvd. Oak Harbor, WA. Her burial will be at Fern Hill cemetery at 2pm
