Obituary for Robert Randolph Huber

Robert Randolph Huber
ROBERT R HUBER

Robert R Huber passed from this earthly life January 22, 2015, the day after his 54th birthday, and two years after being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). He was born in Ephrata, Washington, the son of W. H. & Alice Huber.

Robert attended Everett High School and graduated there in 1979. He lived in Everett until 2012, when he moved to Angells on Whidbey Adult Family Home in Oak Harbor, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his older brother, James J Huber (Fort Lewis); his father W. H. “Bill” Huber (Tacoma); and his mother Alice Huber (Everett, Oak Harbor & Anacortes). He is survived by two sisters, Betty Tartas of Anacortes and Debbie Miller of Sitka, Alaska.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Northwest for their excellent care & compassion; and all the wonderful caregivers at Angels on Whidbey Adult Family Home, whose kindness, caring, humor & affection for Robert over the past two years will never be forgotten.

Robert left a very light footprint on the world: no wife, no children, few friends. But those who did know him will never forget his sweet nature, his smile and his laugh.

There will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, the family requests that donations be made in Robert’s name to the ALS Association, or to Hospice of the Northwest Foundation.
