Condolence: Although I only knew Mike at school, his demeanor and happy attitude impressed me. I can only imagine how he passed down a lot of laughter to his family. Yes, Mike is gone way to early, and he will be missed by all who knew him. My prayer is that all of you find comfort in the Lord and seeing Mike once again.

Condolence From: Chad Dunnam
Condolence: At the calling home of brother Mike, my thoughts and prayers go out to Kim and the rest of Mike's family. It was my great privilege to listen to Mike's fabulous voice when at Bible Baptist Church. As Born Again Believers, by God's wonderful Grace we will miss Mike very much and as believers we know as much as Mike loved his family, he would not wish to leave the side of his Savior to return to the pain and suffering of this earth. my favorite verse Psalm 116:15 " Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."

Condolence From: Travis Nelson
Condolence: Please consider where you too will spend eternity (below is some help if you do not know) WHAT every person needs when life is over: 1st John 5:11-12: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1st John 5:20: And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. According to these Bible passages, every person must ‘get’ Jesus Christ before he or she passes away, because Jesus is eternal life. If a person has Jesus, the body may rest in the grave temporarily, but ultimately that person will live forever. If a person does not have Jesus when his or her physical existence is over, they will be separated from God for all eternity. WHY does everyone need Jesus? When every person is born, he or she is missing eternal life inside. This is because we inherited death and sin from our first father, Adam.... Romans 5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: In Genesis we see what God told Adam: Genesis 2:16-17: And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Then we see in Genesis 3 they did eat of the fruit, but to us it would appear they didn't die... However something did die. Let me explain. We are made up of three parts: body, soul & spirit. You see, Adam and Eve's body didn't die that day, but their spirit—their ‘God connector’ inside—did. This is proven by the fact that there is evil in the world and is why we sin. 1st John 3:4: “…sin is the transgression of the law” (breaking the Ten Commandments) Start with #10 and work backwards to see how well you do: 10. “Thou shalt not covet anything that is thy neighbor's”....you’ve wanted something that belonged to someone else 9. “Thou shalt not bear false witness (lie) against thy neighbor”….you’ve lied 8. “Thou shalt not steal”…you have taken something that belonged to someone else (regardless of value) 7. Thou shalt not commit adultery Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Also let me pause here and explain something: When you and I look at one another, we look at people’s actions or what they do. The problem is God looks at our heart. Think about it like this: you just have to think it to be guilty of it. 6. Thou shalt not kill God looks at the heart with this one too: 1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 5. Honor thy father and mother…ever rebelled against or disrespected your parents? 4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy…have you always set aside time to worship and honor Creator God? 3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord God in vain…using God’s name as a swear word 2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image…idolizing something, someone or even yourself 1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me….The only true God that gives everyone even another moment of life is worthy of all our love, but we don’t as we aught Because of Adam’s sin, we all inherited spiritual and physical death, proven by the fact that we break God’s Law without a 2nd thought. There is a payment for sin: Romans 6:23a: “For the wages of sin is death…” What then is the end result of stepping into eternity without Jesus? Revelation 20:15: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” HOW does a person ‘get’ Jesus? Though everyone deserves eternal separation from God because of sin, God doesn’t want this to happen. This is why God took on human flesh approximately 2,012 years ago—for the purpose of proving His love by paying the price of sin as everyone’s substitute: Romans 5:8, 1st Corinthians 15:4: But God commendeth [proved] his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us…he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” Because Jesus Christ was everyone’s substitutionary payment, proven by His resurrection from the dead, there is only one reason a person would go to hell: John 3:17-18: For God sent not his Son [Jesus] into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. There are two groups of people in the world. The ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’. When a person simply believes on Jesus Christ, at that moment they pass from condemnation and punishment, to acceptance and peace with God. Religious affiliation, religious ceremonies and self-righteousness helps no one; all a person needs is Jesus Christ and nothing else. Mr. Dolan had Jesus Christ when he stepped into eternity—will you? 1st John 3:23: “And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ…

Condolence From: Travis & Joy Nelson (Josiah & Elijah)
Condolence: We had the wonderful opportunity of knowing Mr. Dolan and his lovely family while up in Oak Harbor from 2002 to 2006. They have been a blessing to us ever since we met them. I am thankful for Mr. Dolan and the legacy he has left with a family that faithfully serves God! Many try to build their kingdom down here, however the Dolans were different. Both he and Mrs. Dolan were dedicated servants to our Lord, and built their treasures in Heaven. It also says a lot when a person can faithfully disciple their children to follow God even after they leave home, and not just to live it on the outside to please others. Mr. Dolan was a true example of a committed father who raised his daughters according to God's Word, the Bible. We look forward to seeing Mr. Dolan again one day!

Condolence From: Craig Dunnam
Condolence: Dear Sister Kim and family, My prayer for you all is that you feel HIS special presence during this time of loss. We sang the song "Ship Ahoy" the other day in church and it so reminded me of Mike - when he used to sing that song at BBC. He will be making heavenly music now as I am sure he has joined the choir in glory. "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Cor. 15:55-57 Mike has found his way home. There is no better place for a "Believer" to be. We are all just passing through on our way to HIM. Know we are all praying for you and the family/ "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Rev. 21:4 In HIS Love, Craig and family

I will pray for God's loving comfort for you, his family, as I am sure it is weighing heavily to lose your beloved Mike. He will live on in our memories. God Bless.

Condolence From: FC1 Chris & Charity Payne
Condolence: We first met Mike when Chris' best friend, Ken Webster, was preparing to marry Mike's youngest daughter, Becki. Chris & Ken had been very good friends for years and Becki and I soon became wonderful friends as well. Ironically we have followed each other all over the country, with various Naval Duty stations. It's been nice to keep up on Becki's family, though we live so far away. Mike first struck me as a true leader. He loved serving in the U.S. Navy, had a beautiful voice & a positive personality that bubbled over. His love for Jesus was evident and He shared the Gospel with everyone. We were privileged to spend enough time with his family to know what a loving husband & father he was, and how much he adored his grandchildren. The Motto for the U.S. Navy is: "Honor, Courage and Commitment." Mike lived his life that way, even long after he became a retired Chief Petty Officer. He touched many lives on this earth and now he is celebrating in heaven! FC1 Chris & Charity Payne Wallops Island, VA.

Condolence From: James Norton
Condolence: Mike was in all respects a true human being. I take the meaning from a native american spiritual leader. To be a true human being, one must know what it the right thing to do, say. One must care for those around them, follow the path that is a good path, not neccessary the easiest path, and not waver from this path. One in good standing in the hearts of the people so that they are at peace with him. Yes Mike was all these things. But, mostly he was my friend. Thank you Kim and family for sharing this time with me. I am honored to have known him and you. It is said in the way of the human beings, it is not how long a path you walk in life, but how you walk that path. Thank you Mike for your walk with me in my life.

Condolence: I first met Mike at Millington TN in 1982. He was one of my instrutors at Avionics "A" School. We would meet again at Bible Baptist (87-90) while I was stationed at NASWI. Mike is still my favorite church choir director. Bible Baptist will always be a special place to my wife Debbie and I. Mike and Kim are some of people that made attending Bible Baptist so special. He truly walked The Walk. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies and condolences to Kim and the family. God bless you all.
