Obituary for Marjorie Ruth Field

Marge Field, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021, in the loving presence of her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert Field, her daughters Julie Foster, Sharon Boblick, Cathy Moylan, and Carol Field, and her brother Marlin McCormick. She is preceded in death by her parents Ira and Ida McCormick of Monroe City, Indiana, and her granddaughter Cassandra Foster of Seattle.
Marge was born and raised in Monroe City, Indiana on her family's farm and soon after high school met her future husband, Bob. After they were married Bob joined the Navy and over the next 20 years Marge joined Bob during his tours throughout the US, as well as the Philippines, and all while raising their four daughters. After retirement and settling in Oak Harbor, Marge was a wonderful influence on her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was present at many of their milestones including their birthdays, graduations, and weddings. Her kindness, loving nature, and humility are her most precious gifts that will live through her family.
Marge had great passion for attending church and studying the bible. She had a strong faith and friend group that kept her involved in the community for many years. She was also an enthusiastic Mariner baseball fan and was able to attend some games in Seattle and always knew their schedule so she could watch them on television when she could. There is another fan in heaven that will be rooting for the Mariners to win the World Series next year.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Whidbey Memorial Funeral Home Oak Harbor, followed by graveside service.
