Obituary for Linda Kay Winter

LINDA KAY WINTER
Linda Kay Winter, age 52, of Oak Harbor, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Swedish Medical Center, Issaquah, following a lengthy illness.
Linda was born August 17, 1962, in Hanford, CA, to George and Dorothy (Scherbinske) Cantrell. She was raised in Hanford, and later moved to Oak Harbor. Linda graduated from Auburn Adventist Academy and attended beauty school in Mount Vernon, becoming a licensed beautician. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, and received awards at the State Fair for her baking entries. She also loved her cats. Linda was a member of the Oak Harbor Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Ashley Winter of Oak Harbor; her parents, George and Dorothy Cantrell of Oak Harbor; two brothers, Robert Cantrell of Seattle and Richard Cantrell and his children, Carmen, Megan and Nathan, all of Oak Harbor. In addition, she is survived by her cats: Rose (her “baby”), Louis, Mary, Molly and Pippy.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 26, 2014, 11:45 AM at the Oak Harbor Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Memorials may be made to Whidbey Christian School, 31830 SR 20, Oak Harbor, WA 98277.
