James Elton Ray, age 85, of Oak Harbor, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at Skagit Valley Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Ray was born in Barker, New York, on April 26, 1936, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Harwood) Ray. He recently moved from Albuquerque, NM, to live with his daughter Maylee Ray. He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, a son, a sister and a brother-in-law. He was retired from the US Navy, having served as a Seabee. In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are with the assistance of Whidbey Memorial Funeral Home.
