Jack David Gibbs

Jack D Gibbs, of Sedro Woolley, WA, passed away 8/7/2021 at 83 years of age. Born to James David Gibbs and Frankie Victoria Creasman 8/29/1937 in Sylva, NC. When Jack was 9, his family relocated to Sedro Woolley, WA.

He attended school in Sedro Woolley and graduated with the class of 1958. Jack developed lifelong friends and frequently could be found sitting with his buddies at the local bakery, drinking coffee and talking about how they could fix the world. He was handy and never found a project he could not do. His door was frequently unlocked, and you were guaranteed a cup of coffee if you entered.

He married Elizabeth Soren on December 3, 1958, in Sedro Woolley where they made their home. They moved to Samish Island in 1968 where they raised their 2 children, Jim and Lisa. They returned to Sedro-Woolley in 1998. Jack worked at Northern State Hospital until he became a welder at Bendix Corporation aka. Skagit Steel.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Lisa Montagna Gibbs (Tricia); Sisters; Linda Osborne (Art), Libby Gibbs; Daughter in Law, Kyla Gibbs Haas (John); Grandchildren Nathaniel Gibbs (Lea), Zachary Gibbs (Nicole), Elizabeth Gibbs Gunn (Walker), Aaron Gibbs, Aiden Favorite; Great grandchild Jackson Gibbs.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth Soren Gibbs; his son, Jim Gibbs; sisters, Juanita James and Katy Melon; brothers, Ed Gibbs, Frank Gibbs, Melvin Gibbs, James Gibbs

All are invited to a time of refreshments and sharing of memories on August, 17th from 3 to 5 at the Eagles in Sedro Woolley, 1000 Metcalf St.
