GLADYS CARMEN DESOTELL
Gladys Carmen Desotell, age 83, longtime Oak Harbor resident, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Summer Hill Assisted Living.
Gladys was born in Turrialba, Costa Rica, on Sept. 6, 1930. She came to the United States in 1962, and to Oak Harbor in the late 1960’s. She attended St. Augustine’s Catholic Church. Her greatest love was family, especially her grandchildren.
Gladys is survived by her son Gerald Stanford and his wife Kelly of Stanwood and her daughter Christina Smith and her husband Duane of Oak Harbor; her four grandchildren: Jesse, Travis, Samantha and Aubrey; also, numerous other relatives living in Costa Rica.
In keeping with Gladys’ wishes, no services will be held. Memorials donations are suggested to a charity of choice. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.whidbeymemorial.com.
