Dorothy was born on March 25, 1925 in Sunnyside, WA at home. As a child she loved helping
her grandfather on his farm. She graduated from Davis High School in Yakima, then attended Western Union school and became a telegrapher. In 1950 she married Carl (Mickey) Robinson and daughter Jill was born in 1955. They moved to Seattle in 1959 where Dorothy worked as a legal secretary for Devin, Hutchinson, Peterson and Rolfe for over 20 years. They retired to San Juan Island in 1985.
Everyone knew Dorothy. She was involved in many aspects of the community as an avid volunteer. She was active in the American Legion, Senior Center and Chamber of Commerce well into her 80's. She loved gardening, cooking, reading, traveling and music. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, Sara and Daniel.
Dorothy resided for the last three years at The Village at the Harbour where she was lovingly assisted by the wonderful, caring staff. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.whidbeymemorial.com.
