DEBBI LYNN HOLT
Debbi Lynn Holt, age 61, longtime Oak Harbor resident, passed away at her home on Friday, April 11, 2014.
Debbi was born in Mount Vernon on March 11, 1953, to Harold Gappa and Mila (Dixon) Gappa. She was raised in Everett, and attended Everett schools, graduating from Cascade High School. She was employed as a school bus driver for the Mukilteo School District and later for the Oak Harbor and Coupeville School Districts. She had also been a classified employee of the Oak Harbor School District, employed as a secretary at Midway High School.
On March 24, 1991, Debbi married William “Bill” Holt. She enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. She was very involved with her family, and loved her grandchildren very much. She had been a member of the Oak Harbor Lutheran Church and attended Oak Harbor Church of the Nazarene.
Debbi is survived by two sons, Roy Randall (Tricia) and James Randall, both of Oak Harbor; one step-daughter, Nancy Tompkins (Brin) of Anacortes; nine grandchildren: Joey Holcomb, Kaitie Bruno, Michael Johnson, Jaymi Holcomb, Amanda Buchanan, Andrew Phillips, Katie Mae Phillips, Sarah Randall and Brandon Randall; five great-grandchildren, Mason and Brody Bruno, Nichole, Nathaniel and Ariana Buchanan; one brother, Harold Lee Gappa of Everett. She was preceded by her husband William “Bill” Holt on February 13, 2009.
A Memorial Service will be Friday, April 18, 2014, 11:00 AM at Oak Harbor Church of the Nazarene, 1100 W. Whidbey Ave., Dr. Benjamin Norris officiating. Memorials are suggested to Midway High School. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.whidbeymemorial.com.
