ATALO IBARRA MONTES
Atalo Ibarra Montes, age 44, of Oak Harbor, part-owner of Valle Azul Restaurant, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Virginia Mason Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle, following a brief illness.
Atalo was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, on March 10, 1971, to Antonio Ibarra and Maria Guadalupe Montes. He was raised in Cuautla, Jalisco, Mexico. Atalo came to Oak Harbor in 2002, and helped to open Valle Azul Restaurant on Pioneer Way. He was hard-working, honest and had a great sense of humor. He truly cared about people, and generosity was a prominent part of his nature.
Atalo is survived by his wife, Amelia Cibrian and his two sons, Anthony and Edward Alexis, of Oak Harbor; eight sisters, four brothers, numerous other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 3, 2015, 11:00 AM, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Rev. Jerry Kienzle, Celebrant. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.whidbeymemorial.com.
