Beautiful Father

I didn't actually spend a lot of time with Al and when I did he was usually surrounded but a bunch of us woman, which I don't think he minded much. I do remember a Thanksgiving or two as football rivals, myself cheering for the Cowboys and Al rooting for the 49ers. The thing I remember most about Al was the way he loved his family. Being extremely fortunate enough to meet and become friends with his daughter Kim after moving to San Francisco, I heard first hand about the incredible father/daughter relationship he had with her. She was his pride and joy and you could just feel the love they shared in that family whenever you were around them. The way they took care of each other and how they supported one another was beautiful to witness. It was the way families are supposed to be. I feel fortunate that I was able to witness it and feel it has helped me be a better mother. Great men like Al will always be missed but their legacy, their family, esoecially Kim and Kelly will continue to make the world a better place because of the amazing influence of such a kind, generous, beautiful man. We all could not have asked for a better example of a father, husband, and friend. Rest in peace sweet Al.
