Obituary for George Daniel Lambert

George Daniel  Lambert
George Daniel Lambert was born March 9, 1931 in Minot, North Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57+ years, Clairine Lambert, his grandson Jeffrey Daniel Lambert, 22 years, and his parents Dan and Clara Lambert.

He graduated from Minot High School in 1949.

He joined the Marines and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA where he met his soon to be wife Clairine Clark. They wed on Christmas Day 1952.

After serving in the Marine Corps; George and Clairine chose to relocate and raise their family in Washington State. He began his career on Whidbey Island as a painting contractor in 1969, he knew right away that Whidbey Island was the place he wanted to call home!
George's priorities were to his family and his church. As the Patriarch of his large extended family he was well respected and loved by many.

George is survived by his 2 sisters, Kay Gage and Margaret (Chuck) Eyers, his children Rick Lambert, Lori (Gary) Williamson, Jeff (MaryJo) Lambert and David Sherman. George had 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

George enjoyed several years of commercial fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska and always had a love for buying and selling automobiles. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday October 13, 2011 at 2pm at the Oak Harbor Church of the Nazarene. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and extend online condolences at www.whidbeymemorial.com.
